Our Team
Kendall Kopeikin
Founder Head of Georgia Charter
Hello! My name is Kendall Kopeikin and I am 20 years old. I founded Sending Smiles when I was in the 7th grade because I wanted to offer those in my community an easy way to give back, and brighten the days of local cancer patients. My mom battled breast cancer when I was little, and my aunt recently passed away from metastatic breast cancer. If you look at the Sending Smiles logo, you will see two stamps at the top with ribbons on them. The pink one is to represent breast cancer and honor the women in my life who battled, and the lavender represents all kinds of cancer. I really hope that you will join us in our mission because everyone has the ability to send a smile! I run Sending Smiles in Atlanta, Georgia, where I attend the Georgia Institute of Technology. We are officially chartering as a registered student organization, so our team will be greatly expanding shortly! Sending Smiles is my true passion, but I also enjoy medical research, cooking vegetarian food, and cuddling with my cat. To read more about our mission and why I started this organization, head to the “Our Mission” page and scroll to my note!
Audrey Gifford
Head of Language Department
Head of Santa Barbara Charter
I am Audrey Gifford and I am 20 years old. I am trilingual in English, French, and Spanish. I am the head of the Language Department and run the Santa Barbara Charter of Sending Smiles. Sending Smiles is important to me because some of my relatives have passed away due to cancer, like my grandfather. I love this organization because of the way we reach out and make someone’s day better is super inspiring. Aside from working on the organization, I love watching movies and hanging out with my cat, Misty.
